When shopping on Google, you often see products in a box. You will find the name of the product, the price and the supplier there. This way you can easily scroll through the products with all important information at a glance.  More and more companies choose to present their products in this way. Not only does this increase the visibility of the company and its products, but it also helps to better understand what customers want.

Google Merchant Center

Google has an extension that displays your products this way, called Google Merchant Center.  Here you can download your product range free of charge with all the necessary information.  Your products will then become visible when someone searches for that category on Google search.  You have to enter the whole range manually, which can take a long time.

You can use Google Ads for additional visibility, these are targeted advertisements that appear when searching in a certain category. With this, you can, for example, put your product on the top of the product list and reach more customers.  However, you have to pay for Google Ads.

WooCommerce

One of the biggest companies involved in this type of SEO is WooCommerce. It is a platform that helps you sell your products online, also known as e-commerce. With WooCommerce, you can easily and quickly set up an online store on WordPress, the world’s most widely used content management system. With WooCommerce, you can easily organize secure payments, analyze your visibility, ship products, let customers book or reserve and much more.  Your products will be displayed on various platforms, such as Google Search, Google Shopping, Gmail, and YouTube.

Google My Business link

When you link your WooCommerce account to your business profile, your products can also be displayed, like with Google Merchant Center.  When linking, it is important that you have both a WooCommerce account and a Google My Business profile. After linking, your data from WooCommerce is automatically synchronized with your Google My Business profile, so you no longer have to manually enter your assortment.
